بدأت “الجريمة” كمشروع تعاونيّ، تكهّن فيه كلّ واحد منّا حادث غامض ولكن خياليّ عن موت وقع في ساحة الشهداء في بيروت
تمّ نشر العدد الأوّل في ٢٢ آذار ٢٠١٩ على شكل صحيفة مطبوعة، تعليقًا على كيفيّة عمل وسائل الإعلام بنسج سرديّات مختلفة لنفس القصّة والقفز إلى استنتاجات مختلفة

بالنسبة للعدد الثاني لل”جريمة”، أردنا التركيز على التظاهرات التي بدأت في ١٧ تشرين الأوّل ٢٠١٩ في لبنان ، وحوّلنا تركيزنا على ما اعتبرناه جريمة حقيقيّة. كما جعلتنا هذه القضيّة نتواصل مع زملائنا الفنّانين الذين يشاركون هذه التظاهرات وندعوهم للمساهمة في هذا العدد

​“Al Jarima” (The Crime) began as a conceptual collaborative project, where each of us speculated about a mysterious but purely fictional death that took place in Beirut’s Martyr’s Square. The first issue was published on March 22, 2019 in the form of a newspaper, as a comment on how the media can put different spins on the same story and jump to different conclusions.

For the second issue, we wanted to focus on the protests that began on October 17 here in Lebanon, and we shifted our focus to what we perceived as an actual crime. This issue also saw us reaching out to fellow artists who had experienced the protests as well and inviting them to contribute to it.
