Leilah

LEILAH is a novella portraying the social and religious restrictions imposed on women by societies in the South of Egypt; a place where their dreams are detained, and their spiritual and physical freedom is restricted. It is an emotional representation of a woman’s desperate attempt to defeat the cruel reality of her limited life in the South of Egypt; a life full of frustration and oppression. It is a tale of forbidden love that Leilah has to live and bear its consequences ,alone, in the face of relentless traditions.
